About Lyra Enterprises
What is it?

A Graphics program that is a WYSIWYG ( what-you-see-is-what-you-get ) application for TAB notation, NOT ASCII!!
This program produces output in a graphical form that looks like the TAB scores from the popular magazines
( Usually named "Guitar *something*" )
It is as mouse-oriented as possible. The images are either embedded or drawn from stored data
I wrote this program for my nephew, who complained about the printout problem with ascii tabs, and the cost of the good programs, and the way some of the programs worked....
I also decided to make it as simple as possible, with as few bells and whistles as possible.
This should make it more reliable.

There are a lot of tabs out there, and they mostly look like this:

---------------|--------------------------------|-------------------------
---------------|---------------------4---3------|---6---6---6-------------
------------2--|---------------------4---3------|---6---6---6--3---------3
------------0--|----0--------4-------4---3------|---6---6---6--1---------1
-----0---4-----|--------4----2-------2---2----3-|---4---4---4------1--4---
---------------|--------------------------------|-------------------------

( Which is text-only, NOT very good-looking, and certainly doesn't look like
the music/tab scores in the "Guitar *something*" magazines. )

and they could look like this:

Note : If the images do not show up, and you have a firewall,
then the image problem may be the Browser Security settings...

This program produces printer output EXACTLY like what you see on the screen:

(NOTE: These JPEG images aren't as good as the real thing! )

There are also a LOT of symbols that can be used ( more than shown here )

Draw your notes, flags, slurs, and connector bars
Notes, flags, slurs, and connector bars
Accents and Rests
Accidentals and Chords
Bends and vibrato AND MORE!
CHORDS! ... I almost forgot about chords. The program draws them. You can select a loaded chord or input the fret notation yourself. You will probably have to for Bass and 5-string Bass, since I don't have more than a few chords loaded for them. But then, Bass instruments don't use chords much. As for drums, there are no chords, unless you make some up.......
The program has a selection of instruments: Guitar, Bass, 5-string Bass, Mandolin, and Drums ( up to 20 instruments for Drums....). The program only has the capability of 5 instruments at a time, but that should be enough for the average user and their bands/groups to work with. Drums? I only show 6 instruments here, but you could have more...

We researched the popular "Guitar *something*" magazines to determine what symbols
they used and their notation guidelines, so this program produces something similar.
Not exact, but usable, printable, editable, saveable and shareable.

This program allows you to save the TAB score ( it is saved in a
text file, but the way it is configured it would be hard to edit ), re-load it,
edit it, print it out ( it looks good on a laser or inkjet, LOUSY on a dot-matrix! )
and share it with friends.....
